In addition to her musical career, Olivia also holds a Master's degree in Music Therapy from New York University (NYU) where she wrote a thesis under the guidance of the great American author Kenneth Aigen.

Throughout her studies, Olivia practiced her arranging skills, as well as jazz improvisation and composition with great Canadian jazz masters such as Christine Jensen, Jean-Michel Pilc, Rémi Bolduc, and Jean-Nicolas Trottier (Orchestre National de Jazz de Montréal). She was also the leader of a Brazilian Quartet that performed at the Upstairs Jazz Club in Montreal. She then continued her vocal development with American singer Kate McGarry (3 Grammy nominations).

Olivia’s evolution and artistry emerged from her love of art, exploration, and creation as well as her desire to connect and understand. Her spirituality and playfulness are represented in her playing and her relationships with musicians. She draws her inspiration mainly from French songs, traditional jazz, and Brazilian music. Throughout her art, Olivia strives to create a true experience for her listeners and showcase a raw and powerful expression that is uniquely her own.
